Description
This tool folds fabric strips into ready-to-press bias tape, saving you from folding and pressing each edge by hand.
To use, cut a fabric strip to the width suggested for your tape maker size, feed it through the wide end, and pull it through slowly. As the fabric comes out the narrow end, both edges fold in toward the center. Press with an iron as you pull to set the folds in place.
It works well for cotton and other light to medium-weight fabrics, and is handy for binding edges, making straps, or adding trim to a project. Most sets come in a few sizes, so it helps to have more than one on hand depending on the width of tape you need.
A simple tool, but it makes a repetitive task go much faster and gives you cleaner, more even folds than doing it by hand.
